Privacy policy
Last updated August 27, 2026. This describes the data PortSweep.io stores to operate accounts and authorized scans.
What we collect
- Account identity: name, email, hashed password, company profile fields you enter.
- Scan configuration: target IPv4/CIDR strings, schedule dates, and attestation records (who accepted the statement, when, from which IP, for which targets).
- Reports: parsed nmap output for hosts and open ports on those targets.
- Technical logs: IP address and user agent on authenticated requests, mail delivery status.
Why
To create your customer record, authenticate you, store per-scan attestations, produce reports you requested, and send transactional mail such as welcome and password reset messages.
Processors
Email will be delivered via Resend when that integration is enabled. Hosting and database infrastructure are operated for PortSweep.io by Earnest Software Engineering. We do not sell account or scan data.
Retention
Scan reports are kept so you can compare runs. If you close an account, we delete or anonymize personal fields in line with backup rotation. Authorization records may be retained as long as needed to answer abuse inquiries about scan traffic.
